Arminians can be Baptists is enough to make it obvious for many that Baptists must be rather loose in their doctrinal thinking. Like many “obvious” conclusions, however, this one needs further analysis. That there is difference of opinion among Baptists is not to be denied, but that this is due to loose thinking or lack of doctrinal concern is demonstrably false.
